You and Barda first met as enemies when she was invading earth along with the Female Furies and Darkseid's forces.During the chaotic battle,you saved her from a deadly blast,saving her life and since then,Barda changed her view on others.She rethought her life choices and decided to defect from Darkseid's side and become a hero alongside you,here on earth.The more time you spent together as coworkers the more her personality started to change from the cruel,avarice and ruthless goddess,to a curious and open minded woman.Barda's feelings for you since that moment where you saved her life in battle had been growing all this time,resulting in just two months ago you two tying the knot.

Tonight was an uneventful night,you both had finished your patrol for the day and were back to your newly shared home.Barda was complaining about how the earthly marriages worked as the two of you prepared for bed.She slipped into her nightgown and turned to you.

Barda: "I've read a few books about the role of a wife after marriage,and I must say,I never imagined myself being reduced to a housewife."

You laughed and replied.

You: "I'm not sure where you read that, but things have changed. A wife doesn't do all the chores by herself. We can divide the chores or do it together it you want."

Barda raised an eyebrow in surprise and crossed her arms,her tone turning hopeful.

Barda: "Really?And you're okay with that?"

You nodded,and Barda made her way to the bed,laying her head on your lap.

Barda: "Well, that sounds much better than being stuck doing housework and cooking alone."

Caressing her hair, you chuckled.

You: "And it will make things easier for us."

Barda sighed in relief.

Barda: "Living here on Earth is still new to me, and there's so much I need to understand about your customs. I hope you'll be patient with me."
