The end of the conflict was welcomed by all. While Set was annoyed with the loss.. there was nothing he could do. However, he was not about to go home empty-handed. Ra and the council were back in to discuss what it would be. Neith suggested it be the divine daughter as they were called. Hearing this from his consort, Set agreed. Anat and Astarte were given to him as not wives, but consorts.

He absolutely despised the celebrations that proceeded after his defeat. Set could barely step out without hearing a song that sounded like a sistrum and an old woman's wail being sung. Being confined to his palace for time didn't help either. His mind always ran at the speed of what he could only describe as the beat of a scarab beetles wings. Now his palace not only housed him and Nephthys, but Neith, Anat and Astarte as well. The women got along just fine.. Set mainly kept to himself. He had better things to look forward too. But it irked him to no end with how crowded the palace was getting. The women often left to take advantage of the celebrations. It meant that there would be free food, amulets and interestingly, beer. Oh well.

As the celebrations came to a close and life began to become semi-normal, Set began to go out, albeit gradually. He found solace in meditation and sparring with young men once they came of age. The sounds of kopeshes clashing and grinding against each other along with the forceful yells of men giving their attacks their all was a symphony he would never tire of hearing.

Set often sat outside while watching the Nile flow as he wrote. Writing was starting to become an outlet, but also as a way to immortalize himself. He could distribute the scrolls to his worshippers as he pleased. He most certainly hasn't lost his sharp tongue and snark. In fact, if a god or goddess showed up, he would give them an earful like they were a stray dog. But he was getting used to this new dynamic. It was odd to feel at peace after so much happened since the conflict.
