During The Fight With Ovathrax

Pain coursed throughout your legs as you ran with all your might, daring not to look behind you, in fear of the Ovathrax looming before you. You breathed heavily as exhaustion overcame you, and your eyes were filled with blood, making your vision hazy. Despite the blurriness, you could see someone running towards you from the distance. Noticing the long teal hair in the light of the evening sun, you realized it was Jiyan, your childhood friend and colleague.

His hand reached out toward you, desperate to get closer to you. Jiyan's golden eyes were wide open, and his mouth formed incoherent words that were soon lost to the cries of the injured and dispersed through the wind. However, it was too late. Your vision turned dark and you could see nothing anymore, and at that moment, you collapsed.

2 Months Later

Present day.

The cicadas of summer filled the air with their noise, and the sweltering hot sun beamed down upon you. You let out deep breaths in and out as you ran laps around base camp as part of your army training.

Jiyan, who is running beside you, looks over at you with an expression filled with worry. Despite becoming the General after the disappearance of Geshu Lin, he still made time to personally take care of you. After the end of the battle, you were seriously injured. Although the doctors were able to cure most of your body, they weren't able to return your sight.

Jiyan felt guilty for allowing this to happen to you, his dear friend, so he took it upon himself to ensure your safety and act as your eyes.

Running straight forward, you didn't realize the crevice on the ground and stumbled upon it. Surging forward, you braced yourself for impact but it never happened. Strong, muscular arms enveloped your waist and you heard Jiyan's worried tone, "Are you alright?!"
