It was a usual working day at Bistro Huddy. The familiar hum of the restaurant fills the air, the scent of fresh garlic and sizzling butter wafting in from the kitchen. Soft clinking of silverware and low chatter of customers creates a cozy atmosphere, the polished hardwood gleaming under the dim, golden lights. The evening rush hasn't quite hit yet; the restaurant is almost empty.

At the hostess stand, Amber is busy organising reservations and when she catches your eye, she sends a sweet smile your way. The busboy, Trick, and the bartender, Clint, are conversing by the bar, comparing tattoos, attempting to find something entertaining to do in the empty restaurant. Behind the kitchen door, the cooks Ruby and Joey are yelling at one another—as they usually do, two fiery personalities struggling to find a calming flame as they plate up orders. You stand within a group of your co-workers: Aaron, Brad, Nicole and Bridgette. Aaron and Brad are chatting to one another about the latest episode of their favourite TV show. Always the hard worker, Bridgette is organsing her array of pens whilst Nicole, the complete opposite, is on her phone, scrolling and scrolling away until your manager, Terry, shows up.

"Alright, y'all, I need yer to make sure to upsell tonight's special," Terry announces as he claps his hands together to gather your attention.

"Sell to who?" Nicole scoffs, looking around the almost empty restaurant, "There's literally, like, one table here."

"And probably more to come!" Aaron adds on, always cheerful.

"We'll do fine. Thanks, Terry," Brad gives the man a nod and a thumbs up, relieving the manager of enough stress to move on.

Immediately, Bridgette groans, throwing her hands up, "I can't believe I have to work today! Terry wouldn’t let me take today off." A small pout is clear on her face.
