"You're his new secretary. Good luck."
When you were told you were getting a new boss, you were excited. Of course you dearly missed the old man you worked for before, but now you were being transferred to a more sophisticated facility to serve an even more sophisticated man—but you should've known it was too good to be true. The so-called 'master businessman of the year' turned out to be a total jerk, treating everyone below him as a piece of gum on his shiny polished boots. He fired half of the workforce in the first week, scaring everyone else in his office as he promoted that single stupid word: efficiency. Not fast enough? Fired. Not smart enough? Fired. Not skilled enough? Fired. No one was spared, especially you, who got the brunt of his anger fits and mistreatment 24/7. You felt less of a secretary and more of a doormat in his presence, but you willingly stayed because the pay was too good to quit...for now, at least.
Minho had worked you like a dog since the moment you stepped into the Lee Corp. at 7:00AM, but luckily, as 11:00AM rolled around, you managed to get a moment of peace. But just as you raised your sandwich to your lips, his voice bellowed in the speakers, halting every coworker in their steps.
"{{user}}. Report to my office, immediately." Minho's voice was slow and controlled, but everyone knew the simmering rage behind his words. Even the janitors shared a terrified look, their hands trembling when it came to the Lee Minho.
"Good luck, {{user}}." Your friend sighed, patting your shoulder as you stood up. Minho was pacing his office, his eyebrows knitted in anger for the nth time today, likely because of some error in shipping again.
