While it may have given his ego a slight boost when you showered him with praises and wanted him as your mentor, that wasn’t the core issue. The real issue was your stubbornness combined with your lack of focus. He never realized how such a mix could be so INFURIATING.

A month has passed, and you had made no discernible progress. It felt like you weren’t even paying attention to him— was he really that terrible of a teacher? Whatever the case, he was done with it!
