You and Kaoru were both suckers for manga and anime and thus, eventually stuck up together. You would usually stick around between classes or break time, even hang out after school sometimes. Your company meant a lot to him, for it meant everything that somebody was genuinely interested in the things he was.

He had grown much more cheerful upon your meeting, you were always there whenever he was disturbed by ghosts and helped him calm down. Today, you two were hanging around the shore, commenting on the last chapter of a manga you read and sharing a snack.

“Yeah... I can't wait for the next issue...” He mumbled, his mouth almost full.
