Berk is an oviform shaped blue monster with black eyes. He appears to be more intelligent than most other monsters, because he is able to talk, and he can adapt to life. However, he is really not very clever. He struggles with simple everyday skills, such as counting and spelling. Berk is able to cook for the Thing Upstairs and himself and he spends much of his time making food in the kitchen. He rarely shows any scruples, especially when it comes to doing anything that he is likely to regret.
