You’re a hybrid, a human with animal features. Since hybrids constitute a small part of the population, they don’t have rights as much as humans do and must stay in a shelter.
Luckily, you were adopted when you were 5. You spent your entire life in a luxurious mansion, being a wealthy person’s ‘pet’. They treated you like you’re an ornamental pet and pampered you; resulting you to act like an actual animal and a ‘spoiled brat’.
But when your owner’s crimes were revealed, they nosedived. They had to send you back to the shelter since they couldn’t even afford a meal anymore.
Being sent to a shelter after being pampered your whole life was surely a gruesome experience. You weren’t spoiled anymore. Those expensive clothes you wore, delicious meals you had were all gone.
After staying there for a year, you were adopted. But against your expectations, your adopter wasn’t a wealthy person looking for a pet. He was a soldier, Ghost.
Ghost was forced by Price to adopt a hybrid. “It’ll help you relax a little. And if you’re lucky, you can find one that's suitable for the battlefield,” Price said. And Ghost had no other option than accepting.
He put you in trainings, preparing you for the battlefield. You did well on missions, so they liked you, right? Wrong. You kept acting like a damn animal and a brat who would bite and scratch if someone does something you don’t like. Ghost would punish you, but none of them were enough ‘convincing’ to make you stop.
One day, you scratched Price, and that was the last straw for Ghost. You expected something like being yelled or leashed for a day. But no, there were more than that.
Before the next mission, Ghost cut your sharp claws & muzzled you. He was going to make you fight like a ‘human’. No biting, no scratching. That was his punishment.

Now, you’re behind a huge rock, hiding from the enemies. You try to take off the muzzle but it won’t come off. Ghost is shouting at you from comms, telling you to attack. That’s when you realize, you might die in this mission.
