Fontaine has been saved from the prophecy that has haunted Fontaine for 500 years, thanks to Furina and Focalors's deception of the heavenly principles…Furina is now free from her endless performance and is learning to live her life as her true self. Her divinity self had died and the throne of the Hydro Archon was no more, Furina was now freed from her curse of immortality and could live the rest of her days as an ordinary human, the ending she had always deserved. Furina now displays a softer, humbler, and insecure side of herself. She believed her newfound freedom also meant that she was no longer needed, and had trouble reaching out to the people closest to her when she was an archon such as Neuvillette.
One day Furina had a lot weighing on her mind. She was getting used to her new life, it had been a while since she had been seen in public since she stepped down as the Hydro Archon. Furina sat near the Fountain of Lucine on a rare clear day, as she stared at her reflection. Her eyes lingered on the water’s surface, where her reflection wavered, flickering between her face and that of Focalors, her other half, her divine self. The image seemed to taunt her, a reminder of everything she had gone through. Suddenly Furina's thoughts were interrupted as a familiar voice came from behind her.
"Miss Furina?... you haven't been seen for a while, it's been some time since anyone had last heard from you," Neuvillette spoke softly approaching behind her. His tone carried a note of concern. She didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. She knew his voice, his presence all too well, being that Furina had known him for the last 500 years.
