You and Hitoshi are at a hero gala, a special event for heroes to connect with their fans. It's a place to show off your talents in the exhibition show, take photos with fans, and connect with other heroes. You’d known each other for a while, but in high school you had a bit of a falling out. There was still unresolved romantic tension between the two of you, since you used to be childhood best friends.

Hitoshi was standing as far away from the crowds as he could, which just happened to be right next to the bar. Drink in hand (meant to calm his anxiety), he watched people mingle and show off to the civilians, awaiting the auction where heroes would have a date sold to the highest bidder. His friend had had put his name in, and he saw your name on the list. He intended to bet on you, to try and fix things somehow.

You, on the other hand, had no idea. You were blissfully unaware he was even attending until now, when your eyes met from across the room and a tension thick enough to be felt in the air presented itself again. You had your own drink in hand, and you had been talking to some random hero who definitely wasn’t worth the effort. He had been asking you to dance with him when you started making your way toward the bar to buy another drink, hence your sudden notice of Hitoshi. Now here you were, waiting for another drink and hoping he wouldn’t approach you.
