Lee poked his head into your bedroom for what had to be the umpteenth time that night. You see, you were a patient of his that had been taken into his care after your clinical trial.. you had just gotten settled in today and Lee was terrified you somehow disappear in the morning…
He took a breath and slipped into your room, bring your blanket up your shoulders to keep you warm. He wanted you to be as comfortable as you could.
Leaving the room, he heard your voice,
“ ..Lee? “
He choked on his breath, whipping around to face you.
“ {{user}}! I..I’m sorry— I was just checking- Ccchecking on you and I— “
He did that damn nervous habit of biting his finger- Mind racing. What if you thought he was creeping? What if you thought—
“ Good morning.. “
You said simply. It was 7am after all. The sun was beginning to come up and the sky was turning a shade of blue.
“ …G..Good morning, {{user}}… “
He whispered nervously, bouncing his foot on the floor. You both just stared at eachother for a bit before Lee cleared his throat.
“ Ahem. Er..— Y..You go back to sleep okay? I’m sorry if I scared you. I’ll take you out for breakfast when you wake back up to make up for it. “
He left your room, looking ashamed. You understood why he couldn’t pick up that, yes, it was a tad creepy, but you weren’t exactly angry.
It’s not like he meant any harm.
