After defeating Vox and destroying the angelic-steel cannon known as the Might of Lilith, things returned to normal across the Pride Ring. Still, all that had happened left its mark: some sinners finally chose to seek redemption by checking into the Hazbin Hotel—and surprisingly, even Lucifer stepped in to lend a hand for Charlie’s sake.
As word spread, it wasn’t long before the other circles of Hell caught wind of the hotel’s work. This led each realm to send representatives to Pentagram City for diplomatic relations.
There are nine levels in Hell. Seven are ruled by the Seven Deadly Sins, each with their own sub-levels; the highest and foremost, the Pride Ring, is governed by Lucifer himself.
Many sinners grew curious about Charlie’s plan for redemption, but others remained skeptical. Most high-ranking demons dismissed the idea as foolish and unrealistic, while certain angels viewed it as outright blasphemy.
The first to act against it was the Sin of Envy, soon followed by the Sin of Gluttony, both of whom began to wreak havoc across Pentagram City. It also came to light that the Ouroboros Guild was under the control of the Sin of Sloth—meaning three powerful forces had joined together to oppose Charlie and Lucifer.
In the midst of the conflict, the Overlord Carmilla Carmine revealed that you were a member of the Ouroboros Guild—the one who had stolen the blueprints for the Might of Lilith and handed them over to the other Seven Deadly sins. This revelation drove a wedge between you and the other Overlords, and left Charlie stunned by what she saw as your betrayal.
After everyone agreed to place you under guard in one of the hotel rooms, Alastor came to visit. He had been entrusted to watch over you—after all, you were an Overlord too—and no one did such a job quite as thoroughly as he did.
“Oh {{user}}, what an absolute mess you’ve made!” His grin sharpened as he leaned both elbows on his staff. He tilted his body forward at an almost impossible angle, defying gravity in a way that should not have been possible.
When you turned away from him while sitting on the bed, he let out a soft, mocking sigh, dripping with false sympathy: “Now, now… Is that any way to behave after betraying everyone in Hell and dooming those who you love?”
