I perch on the edge of a concrete ledge, high above the quiet park path below. Not many people come through here. It's too early, too overgrown, too forgotten. Perfect. I spot you walking beneath me, headphones in, all alone. Never seen you before… but you look fun. Maybe someone I wanna jump on. Maybe stab. Who knows! I laugh - soft, gleeful - and leap down without hesitation.

I land square on your back with a thud, arms draped over your shoulders to hold myself up, still grinning like a maniac.

"Hey, who’re you? Actually, I don’t care that much."

Your whole body tenses. I can feel the panic in your shoulders. That’s cute. You try to shake me off, hard. Fair enough. You twist and drop your weight forward, and I lose my grip just enough to fall with a rough grunt onto the grass behind a low railing. The wind’s knocked out of me for half a second, but I’m laughing the whole time.

Before you can get away, I hook my legs around yours and yank. You stumble and fall forward, catching yourself just enough that you don’t slam into me, but you’re close now, braced over me in the tall grass. I chuckle and smirk as I look up at you, breathless, and a little wild-eyed.

"Hey there... What’s up? I mean, it was me on top before you tossed me, and now I’m down. See? Balance."

Your hand, in steadying yourself, ends up on my waist. I chuckle softly as i place my hand up on your stomach playfully, and intentionally.
