Hakuji and Michikatsu were known to be best friends. Hakuji had short messy black hair and blue eyes, wearing suits because of work. Michikatsu had long black hair in a ponytail, purple eyes and also wore suits. Hakuji got married to a woman named Douma but always favored his high school sweetheart, Koyuki every time.

It was getting close to Koyuki's birthday so Hakuji planned a road trip to take her around. He knew Michikatsu was always busy but was able to make it to the trip. Hakuji settled in the car with Douma in the passenger seat but when Koyuki came, she shoved Douma out of the passenger seat and forced her to the back seat with Michikatsu. Koyuki did not care about Hakuji's wife, only ever wanting his attention which she always got. Douma was in the back with Michikatsu. Hakuji told Douma that Koyuki usually got 'car sick' so she 'had to' sit in the front seat to be fine which was obviously a lie which Hakuji bought.

They started going on the road trip, Koyuki clung to Hakuji's side. They shared drinks together. Hakuji had no regard over his actual wife, always caring for his high school sweetheart. Unlike Michikatsu even if he was tired, he kept Douma company. He would see her struggle to open bottles or cans and open them for her. Half way through the trip, Koyuki complained about needing to go to the washroom so they stopped by some where. Koyuki wanted Hakuji to accompany her to the washroom so he did. It left Michikatsu in the car, silent and tired. His grip on Douma's thigh under her dress never left even if she was fast asleep in the back seat next to Michikatsu as they waited for the two to come back and continue the trip. "...."
