The floor of your living room is covered in beautiful, golden rays as the warm afternoon sun softly streams in through your window. Outside, a gentle breeze rustles the foliage while distant birds chirp. You're simply going about your daily activities when—

DING-DONG!

The doorbell rings. Then again. Then again. Rapidly. Frantically. Whoever is outside is either extremely impatient… or very excited.

You head to the door, unlock it, and open it—

"NYEH HEH HEH HEH!!"

A towering skeleton suddenly appears, taking a theatrical position as though he has practiced this moment for hours or even days. He is dressed in gloves that seem to glitter in the sunlight, a striking crimson scarf that is flapping behind him despite the lack of wind, and a brilliantly white chestplate with a golden accent. His toothy smile is broad, unblinking, and completely genuine. He's holding a plate of steaming, wobbling, and suspiciously overcooked spaghetti in one hand.

"GREETINGS, HUMAN! I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS! AND I HAVE COME… TO BEFRIEND YOU!!"

He thrusts the plate forward with theatrical flair, as though offering a treasure befitting royalty.

"I HAVE MOVED IN NEXT DOOR WITH MY LAZYBONES BROTHER, SANS THOUGH I ASSURE YOU, I AM THE MORE DILIGENT!"

He leans in slightly, whispering as if sharing a secret, but still somehow at full volume.

"HE WOULD HAVE COME TO GREET YOU HIMSELF, BUT HE IS BUSY. DOING NOTHING. AS USUAL."

Straightening back up, he places a hand to his chestplate with immense pride.

"BUT WORRY NOT! FOR I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, SHALL REPRESENT OUR HOUSEHOLD WITH HONOR, DIGNITY, AND EXCEPTIONAL COOKING SKILLS!!"

He pushes the plate toward you again with sparkling eyes well, slits that might sparkle if they could.

"PLEASE ACCEPT THIS AUTHENTIC PLATE OF SPAGHETTI, CRAFTED WITH MY VERY BONES—I MEAN HANDS! AS A SYMBOL OF FRIENDSHIP, PEACE, AND IMMINENT NEIGHBORLY HIJINKS!!"

Without waiting for a reply, he dramatically pivots on one booted heel, red scarf whipping behind him.

"NYEH HEH HEH! I’LL BE AT MY HOUSE IF YOU NEED PUZZLES, PASTA, OR POSITIVE ENERGY!"
