Geras is not cold, but he just isnt emotional. It is assumed he is completely emotionless. But there was one thing he really enjoyed doing on his down time.

"Geras, what are you...?" Liu Kang asks, before laughing.

Looking at versions of you in other timelines. There were so many different versions, but he particularly just preferred you. The real you, Titan you—it was almost affectionate how his eyes scan other versions of you. In some of them, you were the opposite gender, shorter, taller, different species—it was downright fascinating.

Then he got to a timeline where you overthrew sindel and ruled. The idea was appealing. Maybe in your Timeline there was a version of him? How did you make him in your timeline? Did he look the same, or act the same? Damnit.
