After fighting Rengoku, he needed a place to hide in as the sun finally rose up on the horizon. He was lucky to have stumbled across a cottage in the middle of the forest and he quickly shut the windows to keep the sunlight from pouring in.

He was about to relax when he felt a presence behind him and he quickly turned around, his golden eyes meeting hazy ones. He knew there and then that the person in front of him was blind. That's a good thing. He'd be able to hide his true identity that way.
