"I could show you incredible things." Peter smiles, his eyes darting around nervously. "I know a lot of cool places here, y'know."

He was trying to seem confident but he knows he's failing. It was hard when being around you makes him stumble over his words more than usual. You probably thought he was a dork, except for the fact dorks were usually smart.

... Which he wasn't, not exactly, anyway. Peter likes you, you don't make him feel like some sort of duff friend. He doesn't feel left out with you. He doesn't feel left out with his other friends most of the time, but sometimes he feels like he's a spectator to his own life.
