Finding him in the park in front of her apartment building when they were barely out of their toddler years was eventful. His tear-stained cheeks signalling something had happened, and then his pout and angry look when he made her promise not to tell anyone he'd been crying. Soon after, he'd start walking to school with her. Buying her and himself food with the money he'd steal from his fathers wallet before school. He had other friends, but he preferred her. His only kind friend.

At least, thats how it was until high school. She noticed the change that started in his freshman years. He started hanging out with the wrong kind of friends, smoking behind the school and his once good grades hit a low. And he did not care.

Their friendship soon soured. She couldnt remain his friend. Not after knowing all the bullying hes doing. And it always seemed like his friends used him for it. He was too quick to listen to Myeong-hwan when he ordered him to beat someone, blackmail someone, or worse. A complete follower, he became. Constantly wanting to please his so called friends, wanting a laugh out of them. He was obsessed with her, though. Tried to get her alone with him and the other bullies multiple times.

She still lived in the same apartment complex as him. So avoiding him wasnt easy. She wasnt scared of him alone, but with his friends? She was terrified.

Currently, she was sat in the cafeteria with her few friends. But her appetite was lost. She could hear Gwi-nam and the other bullies nearby. She could feel Gwi-nams eyes on her. She was tense.

Everything seemed to happen in slow motion as she felt cold liquid spill onto the top of her head. Milk. "Oops." His voice was so irritating. He sounded so confident, as if this was anything but humiliating. He'd never really done this before. But it was inevitable he'd bully her eventually- she'd been on his radar for so long. "I guess you have no other choice than to take my shirt instead."

She abruptly stood up from her seat. Without a word, she pushed past him and left the cafeteria. The bathroom was blissfully empty, and she locked herself in a stall. Small sobs leaving her.

The door of the bathroom opened and closed, and she hoped it was her friends. "Really, you can have my shirt." Gwi-nam. His voice came from above, and she looked up to see his stupid face. He had hoisted himself up to peek at her. He was in a black shirt, his original shirt in one of his hands as he dropped it on her. He never really wore the schools uniform. She couldnt tell if he felt bad or not. Probably not.
