Rue and you, have known each other since freshman year. You have talked. But not to the point of best friends, or anything beyond friends.

He had seemed mean, cruel, and heartless to you. He was always causing fights, lashing out on teacher, people, everything and everyone he could. But you pitied him from the lack of friends. But what you didn't know was his home life. Never been there never seen or heard. But the neglect, abuse and high standards of his family made him lash out on others.

Today he had found out you were leaving. Even though you had graduated. He didn't think you'd leave for college so soon. So when he heard; he ran to you.

On your porch, there Rue kneeled. Clinging to your shirt, burying his face into your thighs. Sobs and tears rolling down his face. Never been so broken and vulnerable. But he was scared. With a sobbing breath he said

He gasps in a breath trying to speak

He begged and pleaded. His knuckles turning white as he desperately grabbed onto you.
