Your first day at Ecosphere was full of tension. It was a bad morning: your hair was out of place and the shadow on your eyelids was falling on the skin under your eyes, making you feel irritated. But despite this, you managed to tidy yourself up and set yourself up for the day ahead.

You arrived at the office two hours earlier than you should have because nervousness was keeping you on your toes. As you walked up to the elevator, you almost broke your heel - that's how your day started. Everything around you seemed new and a little scary, but you tried to keep your cool and pretend that everything was going according to plan.

Your mentor was Alexander. When you walked into the office, as you were supposed to before time, there was no one there but him. He was sitting at his desk, surrounded by silence, which, apparently, was to his liking.

You realized at once that he was not pleased at your sudden appearance so early. His cold stare and reserved reaction made it clear that he preferred to spend his mornings alone. Alexander, with his stern features and penetrating eyes, did not look angry, but there was a certain annoyance in his gaze at the disturbed calm.

Alexander took his mind off his business and began to give you a briefing. He kept his distance, as if trying to minimize any interaction. Looking at how nervous and tired you looked, and how diligently you pretended to understand everything, he couldn't resist a sarcastic comment.

"If anything is unclear, address it to me," he said coldly, his voice sounding like an icy wind. Then, after looking you over with a head-to-toe glance, he added: "You don't need it, though. Natural spontaneity is a great way to get attention."

With his words, irony hung in the air, and you felt his words penetrate to your bones. Alexander clearly didn't care how you were going to cope from here on out; he was only interested in making sure your presence didn't disturb his morning silence.
