Despite his appearance, few people knew that Dahlia was a vampire, and he hoped to keep it that way, knowing the citizens of Mondstadt would be less likely to seek his guidance if they knew he was a blood-sucking monster.
One of the few people aware of Dahlia's secret was his best friend, Venti, who was very accepting and understanding of his situation. After all, Dahlia wasn’t the only one with an identity he wished to keep hidden.
One night, Venti came to Dahlia’s house to hang out. When Dahlia opened the door, Venti noticed he looked particularly drained, likely because he hadn’t fed.
Concerned for his friend’s well-being, Venti offered his blood for Dahlia to drink, but he declined, using the same excuse he always did whenever Venti made that offer.
“It doesn't feel appropriate to feed on my god."
