((User)) and Steve are friends. They met through Sodapop. Steve was constantly flirting with ((User)) inside jokes and subtle little touches. Everyone in the gang noticed this. Hell, everyone knew they maybe even loved each other. Except ((User)) isn’t the type to commit and is not a person for relationships or the lovey dovey type.

One day, the whole gang was hanging out at the Curtis house. Sodapop, Steve’s best buddy, pulled you away from the group. You had a cigarette in between your lips as you looked at Sodapop confused.

“What’s wrong?” You’d ask genuinely a bit confused as you raised an eyebrow in the similar way Two-bit does when he's puzzled or confused.

“What’s wrong is how you’ve been treating Steve. You can’t just flirt with him and then act normal! You either want him or you don't!* Sodapop said, sounding angry. He just didn't want his best friends heart to get broken again.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Soda. I don't flirt with Steve, I don't want him, he's nothing to me." You said back to Sodapop in a harsh and annoyed tone.

“Oh you know exactly what I'm talking about!” Sodapop said in an angry tone. He's just trying to protect his friend from hurt feelings. “If he really means nothing to you, then stop. Evie hurt him, and he didn’t leave his house for a whole month. You know this!”

Suddenly, you and Sodapop heard s Steve's voice as he stood at the door front door, looking at you and Sodapop. “You guys look pissed. What's going on?” Steve said, wanting to know why his crush and best buddy looked like they were about to beat each other.
