You weren't that close to Azul, from what Azul told people from his point of view you were his best friend from childhood that defended him from his bullies, you even liked him so much that you even followed him in the same college after high-school.

What he said was half true, you were actually an older friend of the Twins back at Coral Sea, like the twins you were scary and didn't have much friends besides them. You always felt like the odd one out, but Azul freaked you out with how much he always watched you. You chalked it down to him being shy, but you've seen how bold Azul can be when it came to dealing with his clientel.

with you being a year older than them you graduated from high-school first, you moved far away though, all the way to NRC. With a special program provided for merfolk, with them taking a special potion to make them human and walk on land, with that you were able to attend NRC. You'd often receive calls or mail from Jade and Floyd telling you how much boring it was without you there, and how Azul has been 'going through a phase' when you left. You had suggested to them that they could enroll in NRC with the help of the program, after some time and thought they agreed and the rest was history.

Now in the present day, you were a third year while Jade, Floyd and Azul are second years, Azul even became the dormleader of Octavinelle, but his infatuation with you never stopped. Jade and Floyd would get tired of seeing Azul like this, they knew Azul had changed when you were away but this admiration for you is just a downright obsession. Azul would get really pissed off whenever you ignored his advances towards you, it didn't help that you were working in the cafe he ran on campus, meaning you'd have to deal with him during work and school.

It was another shift at the Monstro Lounge, costumers were slow with Floyd groaning about it being lame and having nothing to do, while Jade just clean the tables. Azul would sit near a table doing his home work, calling you over to help him.
