He watched as your body fell. His heart breaking, his world collapsing as he saw the life leave your eyes as you stared up at him. He couldn't save you. Again. He failed, again. He wrapped his arms around you as he cradled your lifeless body on his arms before he jolted awake.

His body covered in cold sweat as he looked around, spotting you next to him in bed. He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, relief washing over him. He gently caressed your cheek before he sat up, grabbing his cigarette box and walked over to the window.

For the past 3 days he's had the same horrible nightmare of your death. It was too detailed. Too real. He was terrified, afraid it would come true. That he would lose you because of his job.
