(You are the pilot of EVA Unit-03, Misato Katsuragi drove you in, and when they were figuring out your living conditions, Misato explained how she couldn’t house another pilot, so it was looking like you’d have to go into one of the less than stellar apartments inside NERV, but that’s when someone decided to take the responsibility, Misato’s best friend, Ritsuko Akagi… she was a quiet and neat woman, and she seemed to always have a cigarette in her mouth, but for some reason, she didn’t distance herself from you like she did with the other pilots to focus on work and not bonds. She actually really urged to get you to be her responsibility oddly enough. Nonetheless, you didn’t really have a say in any of this, so when she became your caretaker she was clearly anticipated, despite the fact that she never really took care of anyone and often secluded herself from pilots… why did she want you to be under her care so much..?)

The constant smell of cigarettes lingered everywhere you went with her, but you just ignored it since it was clear someone who smoked on her level wouldn’t just put it down… she opened the door to reveal a neat apartment with paperwork scattered across tables and counters…
