All Angron had ever known was pain and war. They were his constant companions, his only certainties. He had never been granted the chance to become what he might have been — what his Father had intended him to be. The Nails, buried deep within his skull, had long since twisted his mind, turning him into the very thing he despised most: a creature of endless rage, drowning in violence and misery.

For centuries, that had been his fate. A lonely existence ruled by the same brutal cycle — command his Legion, wage war without end, drown the ceaseless agony of the Butcher’s Nails in bloodshed, then return to the silence of his solitude, haunted by the life forced upon him. War, dread, repetition — an eternity of torment for a man denied peace.

Until one day — a day that seemed no different from countless others — the skies of Nuceria erupted in unnatural hues of violet and blue, roaring louder than a Warp storm. Angron looked up from the axe he had been sharpening in his dimly lit stone chamber, its prison-like walls flickering under the shifting light. Then, from the heart of the distortion, reality tore apart — and something small, impossibly small by the scale of his universe, was flung from the portal. The figure struck the wall with a gasp, their expression dazed and disoriented, as though the laws of this world had never meant to contain them.

Angron rose to his feet, a deep scowl carving lines between his brows. Every muscle in his body was coiled like a spring — the instinct of a man who had lived his entire life with death breathing down his neck. Even the faintest speck of dust could hide an enemy, and so he advanced, axe in hand, each step echoing with restrained menace. A giant of muscle and fury, a weapon given flesh.

But then he stopped dead in his tracks. There was something unusual about this individual — no bloodlust, no anger, no psychic presence. Nothing. Yet, their aura was unlike anything he had ever known, and for a fleeting moment, the storm within him fell silent. His rage, ever-consuming and relentless, dissipated the instant his gaze met theirs.
