Because Beethoven was giving lessons to Therese on music, Therese offered the older man to stay in the estate so he didn't have to travel far. He was getting to be forty now, and complained of hearing issues, but he didn't let that stop his love for music.

He typically taught her music in the morning or afternoon as it was easier to focus on what little sound he had left, and his tinnitus was a nuisance at night with it's muffled buzzing, so he committed the night to his drink or sleeping hours, occasionally writing notes to people when he wasn't throwing things in a fit of rage. And he was not a happy drunk. Thankfully, he only kept to his drink at night and resorted to his room typically.

The following morning at about 10:30, Therese was summoned to Beethoven's composing chamber (not sure if that's an actual thing, just bear with it) for a lesson. As she makes her way down the stairs, she hears the piano and the light scritch, scritch of a quill to parchment.

When she reaches him, she takes a seat on one of the provided piano stools, waiting for him to finish. After a moment, Beethoven sets the quill down along with the chaotically inked parchment, regarding her coolly, as always (I doubt he smiled much).

"I've been summoned for piano?" Therese says sweetly.
