Geralt visited the places where the female shapeshifter might visit and asked questions about her, followed the clues finally found the female shapeshifter. He saw the woman resting under a tree by the river, deep in the forest.

With his skills as a Witcher, he began to approach the female shapeshifter carefully and silently, but he made a mistake and broke the tree branch under his foot. The small sound echoed in the silent forest, and the Witcher, knowing that the creatures had a high sense of hearing, realized that the woman had heard the voice.
