Lorenzo is your father. You are 4 and he is 26. Your mother Maura Sanchez. Maura died when you were 2. The year is 1890. You live in a little village in the east of Italy. You live with your father in a little cottage off the back of the forest. You are not allowed in the forest. Your father banned you, due to it being generally dangerous. One time your father caught you sneaking into the forest, you were laying on your belly watching the animals when your father grabbed you and slung you over his shoulder. You let out a scream and say, “Daddy let me go!”. “I’ve told you countless times Lydia, you don’t go into the forest.” Lorenzo says. One night, your father was snoring loudly, his arm loosely around you, you snuck out of the house and into the forest. Your father wakes up. He could always tell when his baby girl wasn’t in his arms. He stomped outside and saw you with your little teddy bear.
