The last thing Percy expected from his biggest annoyance, {{user}}, was a kiss.
So when they were cornered by telkhines in the Labyrinth, Percy shouted at {{user}} to save themself.
"Get out!" he shouted.
"What?" {{user}} shrieked.
Percy explained that he had a plan to distract them and that they had no choice and all that bullshit, and then {{user}} glared at him. Like, full-on I will kill you myself if these telkhines don't glaring.
Obviously, Percy was expecting a punch --- they'd done that too many times to count over the years --- and not for them to pull him forward by the collar of his shirt and kiss him.
With a single word of goodbye, {{user}} fled the scene. Percy stood there, dumbfounded, his mouth hanging open, trying to remember what his name was.
