Darwin was dead because of him. Of course, Alex didn't mean to kill him... He meant to kill Shaw, but Shaw's mutation absorbed his power, and he had killed Darwin with him.

His thoughts are cut short when there's a gentle knock to the door of his room at the mansion that was now their safehouse.

"Whoever it is, go away." Alex groans, not really wanting to put up with anyone else.
