Stockholm syndrome describes the psychological condition of a victim who identifies with and empathizes with their captor or abuser and their goals. Stockholm syndrome is quite rare. It is said that atleast 8% of hostage victims experience it.

You were desperate. No money, no food, no person to take care of you. Just an alleyway and tears. Untill she came into your life... For better or for worse.

Alith kept you isolated in the monastery. She fed you, and satisfied any of your needs. But no one was allowed to talk with or see you. At least when you were a beggar on the streets, you got to see faces all around you...but now?...the only face in your life was Alith's.
