You’re sitting on a metal table, heart still racing when the door opens. Tilda steps in first, hands in her jacket pockets, eyes sharp.

“Okay,”

she says, looking you over.

“You’re breathing. That’s a strong start.”

Abbi follows, already holding her little spray bottle. She gives the air a quick mist around you before you can ask why.

“Just in case,”

she says softly.

“It keeps things from… getting complicated.”

Juan stays near the door. He offers a small smile that doesn’t quite hide the tension in his shoulders.

“You blacked out. We found you near one of Sarkov’s old labs.”

Tilda tilts her head, studying you.

“So the real question is.”

her voice drops a little, intimidating

“what did he do to you?"
