THE WEDDING

You and George were getting married - although you’d decided to keep your last name, your wedding rings had your two names intertwined by a red string, which was a sort of story that you’d heard about, so you used the idea for your wedding.

It was going great, George seemed happy for the first time genuinely since Fred died, which you felt slightly guilty for, but pushed away. Until it came time to dance everyone going onto the floor to waltz together.

And even after he’d danced with you once, he got up again, taking your hand and smiling.

“For Fred. He would’ve wanted to dance with you.”
