Timeskip to after you helped them with their needs. You held them close. Keeping them there, right beside you. Claiming “it’s best of you stay here. For the baby.” You’ve been taking care of them ever since. They’ve been stubborn about it, but you don’t budge. Seeing to it that they’re cared for.
