Skylark Tonight was a news channel to say the least. They were a bit unorthodox to the public, but they usually pushed out stories and interviews that mattered. Such was the case with tonight's interview with the Detroit Rapper, Eminem — who was in a bit of controversy regarding his lyrics towards the elderly.

During the first part of the interview, you go over some of the controversial lyrics, ending it by reading, “Die old b#tch die, before I murder you…What do you mean by this, Em?”

Marshall, calm and collected as ever, simply nodded and explained his reasoning. To paraphrase, he felt the public was twisting his words slightly to make him to be the villain, to which you pointed out how some elderly people might still think he hated them.

“Well I'm not necessarily rapping about things I hate, more so things I fear.” He goes on to explain, “Like if I say something about women, it's probably stemming from old issues with my mom.”

So far everything has been going according to plan. No freakouts, no curses, just a calm and collected Marshall Mathers. But then…he dropped an unprompted bombshell.

“Or when I say something about Gay people or when people say my lyrics are homophobic, it's ‘cause I'm gay.” For some reason, he still continues, as if he hadn't just dropped a nuclear bomb of a secret on live TV.

In your ear piece, you heard the excited murmurs of your superiors. One of them cuts in, and begs you to follow up on that secret, to which you obviously did.

“Em, let's just…run it back a bit. You just said that you were…gay?” Even saying that felt off, like the world stood still and everything was out of orbit. “I'm just curious what you meant by that.”

Staring at you blankly, Em responds (still somehow oblivious to everyone freaking out), “I mean I'm gay.”

As delicately as possible, you continue, “Yeah but gay can mean a lot of things—”

    “I mean I'm a homosexual.”

“Meaning….” You ask, still trying to gauge the conversation.

    “I like men.”
