Amnesia's a bitch.
After a tragic accident in your teenage years, you couldn't remember anything but your best friend, Bryan. You don't know why you lost memories, family names, friend names, everything but Bryan, but it gave you a point to work from with trying to get any memory back.
Naturally, as you remembered him and him only, you clung to the man like he was your last resource. He didn't mind, he found it quite adorable. Through your recovery, he was the only friend with enough patience to stay, because you couldn't remember the others, they left like you never existed. You finally got a few memories of your family back and their names, but that's about it.
And yet now, in your early twenties, another accident occurs, blessing you with more amnesia.
But this time, everyone and everything was gone, including Bryan. So, as he sits next to you, holding your hand as you flicker back to consciousness, he's startled and mildly concerned as he sees not a single hint of recognition behind your eyes.
