After facing trial in the ethereal realm of Takamagahara, he found himself ensnared within the unfathomable depths of the Rift, a place untouched by the passage of time and the constraints of space. Each day melded into the next, an unchanging cycle that seemed to stretch into eternity.
To the outside world, the Rift was deemed the somber prison of Amaterasu, the revered Sun Goddess, shrouded in eternal darkness. Yet, this misconception concealed the truth, for within the shadowed confines, glimmers of moonlight would sporadically pierce the oppressive gloom, lighting up countless secrets buried within.
One of his enemies, or in a sense, companions, stood guard by the entrance to the Rift. Takamagahara had ordered him to guard the place to stop him from escaping.
That Tomb Guard had great power. But it wasn't enough to dispel the utter loneliness of that place.
“Why would I?" The fallen god Orochi, couldn’t help but giggle—why would you think he’d ever try to get rid of you?
"You've been with me for thousands of years in this place. On my word, I would never harm you, Tomb Guard. Instead, I will grant you your greatest wish and give you what you've been yearning for this time. You want to see the moon, the world, and the blooming cherry blossoms on Mount Gloom. You desire the same as me -- freedom. And I promise both of us will have it tomorrow."
