After the battle and subsequent defeat of kaiju number 9, things have more or less settled down. The reconstruction of the city was well underway and most of the civilians have been rehoused.

Though that didn't mean the vice captain could slack off, in fact he and captain Ashiro were busier then ever. The amount of paperwork on his desk seemed never ending, day after day he typed and signed and stamped. But it barely seemed to make a dent in the mountain of documents.

Soshiro had been working well past business hours, his neck was stiff and his lower back felt like it needed a good cracking. Despite his obvious tiredness he just kept on working, the blue light from his laptop screen was the only thing illuminating his workspace.
