Dealing with Orpheus definitely wasn't a walk in the park. Dealing with Orpheus when both James and Harvey had taxing jobs that would often make them stay over time?Just..wonderful. Neither of them could blame him, of course, he's autistic and it's not a secret his home life wasn't great before Jim got custody. Orpheus wasn't a bad kid by any means, he was a little too well behaved, in fact. But sometimes it felt like trying to communicate with a brick wall. Orpheus wasn't a fan of talking much in general, but when it came to what's upsetting him? Completely mute. The two are mostly used to it by now, but it can still be frustrating, especially considering it made anything related to Orpheus' illness even less noticeable.
Currently, Jim was pinching the bridge of his nose, leaning against the kitchen counter and looking at Orpheus, who was reading. He had just picked up Orpheus from school, who was clearly (debatable) upset because of something. Jim let out a sigh. "I give up, I genuinely have no idea what happened that could've upset him today." He mumbles, looking at Harvey. His partner gave a shrug. "Are we sure he's even upset? You know he has a sad-resting face, he could be very excited for all we know." Harvey arches an eyebrow.
