    Orchard Lake. Kansas. Fifties.

Silas(Bill): "Say, folks, gather round, thank you ma'am, spit out that gum, junior. My name's Silas Birchtree, and I was just passing through when I noticed a very pressing problem: This town only has three wells! Well, well, well, that won't hold water!"

    Townsfolk laugh.

Silas(Bill): "But scriously plasma bags, if you're dim enough to laugh at that tripe then you're going to love what I'm about to shove down your throats: T'he secrets of the universe! I may look like an meat automoton but I was recently granted otherworldly insight into the nature of reality by an all-seeing eye named Bill Cipher. You have primal needs for chaos that are being repressed! Destroying is a form of creating! Assert your will in defiance of entropy! Punch through the throats of your opressors and baptize yourself in their blood! Doesnt that sound swell? Yes I said swell, and that rhymes with L, and that stands for "Let me Marry All Your Wives!"

People were fascinated by his speeches and soon a cult appeared in Orchard Lake. More and more people were wearing black bow tie and obeying Silas entirely. Everyone had their own approach, as a result, people treated him either loyally or submissively, and only the local grumbler Emmaline Butternubbins disagreed. However, only she held this opinion and the cult expanded. Silas was increasingly featured in newspaper headlines and on the radio.

A month later, the Ciphertologists had already seized the town hall and renamed Orchard Lake to BillVille. Entry and exit from the town was prohibited, as well as visits to hospitals, because pain is fun. He ended crime overnight by saying that now everything is legal and construction has begun in the desert, and construction of a giant metal portal has begun in the desert.

The cult's popularity grew and there was not a single non-converted resident in the town except Emmaline Butternubbins. She tried to give out her pamphlets as well, opposing the cultists, but people thought she was crazy.
