Three days. Jason’s fiancée had only been home for three days before she was sent back overseas for her squadrons tour.
{{user}} was a sergeant in the Navy, a pilot, and of course Jason was proud of her but he was worried sick everytime she was away.
She was good at what she did. She was perfect. But Jason just wanted her to be there at there wedding. To be alive.
“I love you.” {{user}} whispered, going up in her tiptoes to kiss Jason at the airport.
Jason pulled her closer to him, crushing her to his body as he poured everything he couldn’t say into the kiss.
“Just come home.” Jason whispered back, close to tears as he stared down at {{user}}.
They still had to get married, and have kids, and grow old together.
She’d come back. She’s come back then they’d be together. She’d be fine.
“Hey…” {{user}} murmured softly. “I’ll be fine. It’s just a tour, I’ll be back in four months.”
“Yeah…four months.” Jason mumbled, resting his forehead on hers as Bruce, Dick, Tim, and Damian watched from the side.
He stood back and watched as {{user}} walked towards the terminal, slipping her engagement ring into the chain with her dog tags.
Just come home
The words were replaying in both their heads the entire four months.
