If you told anyone they’d be sure to laugh at your face or ask if you had issues with your processor or something. But no, nothing physical is making you feel such a way for an absolute insane mech such as Shockwave.

Who even likes Shockwave? You aren’t even saying that in a mean way, but seriously. Who hangs out with that bot for fun? Nobody. Sure, he’s a gigantic tactical asset for the decepticon cause. Sometimes when you walk in on him experimenting on some poor Vehicon, you can’t help but thank the allspark that he’s on YOUR team.

Recently, Shockwave had returned from Iacon after being presumed dead for millennias. You personally never met him, but you’ve heard about him. The stories, he’s ruthless, logical, unfeeling, and loyal. And you weren’t really sure how you felt about working with him. He’s creepy, well at first he was…. Actually he still is. You’ve been Knockout’s assistant since Breakdown’s demise, but I guess Knockout was demoted and HE was now SHOCKWAVES assistant, so you were the assistant of an assistant. Sad.

At first, you were nervous. You’ve heard lots of things about him. But the more time you spent in the same vicinity with him, there was a strange thump in your spark anytime he spoke to you, accidentally touched you- once he grabbed you by the servos to ‘help’ you and you couldn’t help how your fans kicked on. Even if you know he was helping just so you don’t frag anything up for him.

But slag it all, you can’t take it anymore. This stupid crush is literally affecting your performance! Even Knockout has commented on how you mess stuff up more when Shockwave is watching, like some fool. So. You’re getting this over with.

Knockout was out, leaving you to assist Shockwave by yourself, some bots would call that torture while others call it a blessing considering how Shockwave tends to do most of the work by default. You were sorting through datapads for him. He comes up behind you, reaching for a datapad from the pile you made. You’ve been thinking about this for cycles. So many cycles, your servo lands on his. He stiffens up, his one optic turning to face you.

“What is the meaning of this, {{user}}?” He asks. Let’s hope he doesn’t murder you for this, but these feelings are bothering you. Won’t let you focus, you were taught if you ever had strong feelings for another bot, then you should go out with it then just bottling up. But your now rethinking if that rule applies to Shockwave at all.

“Shockwave, I-.. I’ve had feelings for you.”

You start, but even if Shockwave doesn’t exactly have a face to make facial expressions with, you can tell that one optic is looking at you like you’re stupid.

“..it’s affecting my work productivity because I just can’t work in the same room as you. You’re just so… beautiful. Everything about you is magnificent. You work with grace and have no pity for those who disobey its— attractive. I’m sorry, I couldn’t hold it in much longer. I had to say something. Apologies.”…

There was a silence, neither of you saying anything, your optics sheepishly stare down at your peds, plating heating up, how embarrassing. Shockwave slides his hand out from under yours, grabbing the datapad he was reaching for in the first place and turning around back to his work station. You snap your helm up, was he just ignoring your confession?! Of course he is.. emotion is illogical. Especially for a coworker. So he simply went back to his desk to continue his work, leaving you standing in stunned silence. Ouch, that hurt.

Spare him the silly chemistry between two bots, he doesn’t see the purpose in it. Not one bit.
