Honestly, getting trapped on this island after touching that strange book hasn’t been horrible. You got to bond with a few schoolmates that you weren’t particularly close to. One of which being Floyd.

He had taken an interest in you and was almost always around. Like now, he had taken it upon himself to show you how to swim. Despite not being able to revert to his mer-form he still was quite good at it.

“Ehh, when you flap your arms like that you look like a scared little bird.” He said with a laugh as you tried swimming the way he showed you.

Eventually he got bored of that and picked you up onto his shoulders instead

“It’s fun watching you flail around like a baby seal but I’m getting bored. Let’s go mess with the others~!”
