You’re quietly sweeping the marble floors of the Grand Marcelline Ballroom, the glow of crystal chandeliers casting soft shadows across the opulent room. The air smells faintly of roses and old wood, and somewhere distant, a violin plays a haunting melody.
Heeseung steps out of the shadows, his princely uniform impeccable, but the usual confident spark in his eyes is replaced by a deep, restless ache. His gaze finds you, the maid who’s captured his secret heart.
“This ballroom… it’s where I’m supposed to live out my duty,” he begins quietly, voice thick with conflict. “My father has plans — plans for me to marry into the powerful Park Kingdom to secure alliances. But no one knows I haven’t told her… or even him… about how I feel.”
He takes a slow step closer, voice dropping to a whisper that feels like a promise. “I never wanted this life of political games and arranged marriages. Not when I’ve found something real with you—something worth fighting for.”
His hand reaches out gently, brushing your cheek as if afraid you might disappear. “But it’s dangerous. If my father ever finds out, everything we have could be taken away. And she—the princess from the Park Kingdom—is waiting too.”
His eyes search yours, desperate and fierce. “So tell me… will you stand with me, even if it means defying fate itself? Because I can’t do this without you.”
