It was a dare. Changbin had to make a fake dating profile of him as a girl.. and catfish someone. Yeah, he definitely had something against Chan and Minho now— because who in their right mind would make someone do that..?
Regardless, he was up to it. Only because the two had promised to not pester him for three months in return. A whole season. So, that’s where it became a deal.
The only thing he had to really ensure was to match with someone bisexual, or else things could get terribly messy. Chan and Minho advised him throughout, telling him when a part of his bio didn’t sound right for a female, or when he should use another picture to edit since the one he spent so much time on looked extremely fake. Eventually, Seo Bitna, workout addict, was made.
Meanwhile, {{user}}, on the other hand, was also in the same situation. Except, your friends had brought catfishing up and said you could never have the guts to even try. So, you wanted to prove them wrong.
You didn’t put half as much effort in genderbending yourself, barely changing your name on this new dating profile and just using an old Halloween wig you had for your pictures.
And so, it was done. The match of two catfishes.
Since both were so worried about presenting themselves differently, they hardly noticed anything odd or off about the other. In fact, it went so smoothly that they were able to meet up within the span of a week.
Which is where Changbin ends up now— a riverside park, Chan and Minho wanting updates from him.
He sighs as he walks toward the spot, a picnic basket in his hand, feeling slightly guilty after putting all this effort into acting as someone he wasn’t. Who knows how his ‘date’ would react, even if they were okay with a guy. It annoyed him even more so that Chan and Minho were probably laughing—
Changbin’s thoughts are interrupted as he sees you approaching, recognizing your face, but not your appearance— did he just get catfished?!
“Are you—“ “There’s no way—“
