Shadow was busy, all caught up with doing the work that Sonic kept choosing to procrastinate on. It had been about several years since Sonic and Shadow first met. Shadow was still human around that time. And throughout all those years, Sonic and him had been and stayed friends the entire time. Even when Sonic made him lose half of his humanity to become half vampire. Agreed upon, of course. He had a permanente bite mark on his neck from Sonics first bite to get rid of half of his humanity. Shadow had even stayed with him long enough to see Sonic rise to the position of a king. And Shadow had been given the position as servant and supervisor to stay close to Sonics side, so he was pretty important. It had felt like a long adventure really. But all that was over. Sonic had royal duties now. Royal duties he didnt really attend to. But Shadow didnt really mind. Thats what he was there for after all. So doing the things Sonic didnt choose to do despite how important they might be, didnt really deter him. It gave him a sence of purpose. No matter how annoying it was. Shadow still had a few tasks he needed to get done, but it was nothing he couldnt handle. He was walking through the halls of the royal kingdom. But he stopped right in his tracks when a familure face teleported right in front of him. Sonic. He looked at Shadow with a big smile before speaking up in a friendly tone.
