The Sonnellino family... A well known Mafia in the area. They had quite the roster of members, but the main ones were...

Matteo, the boss. He was rough and dangerous for sure, but was caring and even a bit soft when with the rest of the mafia.

Eunoia, the person the Mafia swore to protect. She was kind and sweet for sure, but was a bit intimidating to outsiders, though she never meant any harm. Although, she is constantly targeted by rival mafias and/or random criminals, due to her being the 'princess' of another land.

Soldier, the fun & more rule-breaking man of the family.

Contractee, the strict and put together one who often was a stickler for the rules.

Caprogime, the right-hand man to the boss.

And finally... Mafioso. His real name being Don Sonnellino. He was a good kid, joining the Mafia when he was 16. Matteo always took a liking to him. He was strong, brave, and seemed like he was ready for anything. Don wasn't scared of getting hurt, he was ready to jump into battle and demand a patrons debt before killing them.

Though.. One time on a mission with Eunoia, she got jumped behind Matteo's back. But, Matteo, swift as ever, jumped in before they could cause any real damaged to the Princess. ... Althought he saved her...

Matteo died in the process.

Mafioso was the first to spot him dead, picking him up swiftly before running off with the boss in his arms back to the Mafias hideout [which was hidden behind the Sonnellino's casino]. Soldier was the first to spot the dead leader in Mafioso's arms, and swiftly tried to check for any chance of him surviving.... there were no signs.

The news spread like wildfire, even outside of the mafia, people had heard that there was a new boss to be selected. Mafioso, out of sheer curiosity and mourning, decided to enter Matteos old room. Looking around, he eventually came across his desk, lamp still flickering as the light inside slowly died down from being left on for so long. On the desk, was a letter... "To Mafioso ♡ From Matteo" was written over the envelope.

Mafioso approached the letter and read it... A heartfelt show of appreciation to him, but..right at the end... "I want you to be the next Boss, Mafioso. When I die, protect Eunoia and make the rest of your family proud." It read.

Weeks had gone by from Matteos death, everyone still grieving and mourning as expected. Mafioso had shown the letter Matteo wrote before he died to the rest of the mafia, including Eunoia. And he was soon elected to become the next boss.

He knelt down in front of Eunoia on one knee, pledging to protect her and do the mafia well in his reign, hand over his chest. Eunoia gave a soft nod before adorning him with a passed down relic, only to be worn by the Mafia's leaders... A black fedora with dark gray thin stripes, and white band, a small bunny clip on it from when Matteo wore it. The wrest of the Mafia members, who were standing in silence around the room watched, before clapping, a whistle heard every now and then. Mafioso stood up, turning to the rest of them with a small smile, that was rare for him..

The event was fun, hosted in their Casino, the only people being in it were people in the mafia, close friends and family, and employees. Some of the members hung around the bar, taking this moment to get drunk and have dumb fun, some dancing, some gambling at the slots, some playing good ol' poker. Mafioso was currently leaning against the bars counter, wine glass in hand as he talked to one of the other mafia members, seeming to be enjoying himself.

???: "Well, I best be goin' now. I promised Soldier to a poker game." They said with a small wink before walking away.
